Pharaoh Ants - What are Pharoah Ants?
Pharaoh ants are tiny - only about 1/16 inch long, and are a red to orange color on their fornt section with black on their tail section. They can be difficult to see at times because of their light color. These ants have become infamous for health problems in hospitals. Due to their minisual size, pharaoh ants can crawl into IV tubes, or other tubes and enter a patients body.
